In a unanimous opinion, the Court affirmed judgment for the State in cases challenging Missouri’s 2025 congressional redistricting map. The Court held that the challengers failed to show the map violates article III, section 45 of the Missouri Constitution, which requires congressional districts to be contiguous and as compact and as nearly equal in population as may be. The 2025 Map scored as more compact than both the 2022 Map and the 2012 Map under standard statistical measures, and the challenged Kansas City-area districts were more compact than the corresponding districts in the 2012 Map, which the Court had previously upheld.
